Follow me on twitter.

Posted by: Pete Stagman on 3/3/2009

For those of you who don't know it, I'm currently in Seattle/Redmond, WA for the MVP Summit.

The Summit is a chance for MVPs to speak to the developers of whatever their specialty may be. For me it's Media Center. More info on the MVP Program. There are over a thousand MVPs here with specialties ranging from MS One Note (Yes, I'm serious) to High Performance Computing (ie. Supercomputers).

The other great opportunity we have here is to ask questions. "Why does it work this way and not that way?", "Why did you drop support for X?".

Some of the answers we are allowed to pass on as public information, some we are not. We're given a lot of NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) information and if we slip up and leak information, it could cost us our status as MVPs and we would no longer be allowed access to the information.

So, with all the above said. If your interested in seeing what a day at the MVP Summit is like, or would like me to ask a question of the developers, then follow me on Twitter twitter.com/tyrstag! I'll be tweeting about, what the current session is about, who the speaker is and any information that I'm allowed to pass on.

If you're a member of twitter you can send me tweets asking to pass on questions you may have. I can't promise they will get answered or even responded to. But I'll do my best.

If you are into Windows Home Server, you could also follow Terry Walsh from www.wegotserved.uk his Twitter tag is twitter.com/wegotserved. (Go figure) But today we seem to be in the same sessions.

If I don't respond to you, don't feel I'm ignoring you, these sessions move fast and there is a lot of stuff going on. I may not have seen your message, I can't respond due to NDA, or it may be just as simple as I'm AFK or my wireless connection dropped.

Of course, if you don't follow me on Twitter, then you'll have to wait until I get back from the Summit and give a presentation at the next meeting!

Happy Tweeting!

"Thanks Pete, I believe they will work since they do have 2 4x ports and support both SAS and SATA. One way to find out for sure I suppose" Read more

"I don't know those particular controllers. But the drive enclosure should work with any Port multiplying SATA controller. You would need 2 port multipliers on the controller, each port controls 4 drives in the enclosure.

"I am really impressed with this product. I love its gloss black finish. I would like to buy one of its kids as it is easy to install and is perfect for backups. It is awesome to know that this black beauty can hold up to 8 hard drives with a huge storage space with 8 SATA 3G HDD. I am sure that it can create can create anything from a bunch of drives to RAID 5. " Read more
